Pipex Italia for a Responsible Future: Collaborating with ŽP School Students on the Group’s New ESG Logo

For Pipex Italia, sustainability means creating long-term value while involving new generations. With this spirit, we promoted, together with Železiarne Podbrezová and its Slovak school, the project “Strong Tradition, Responsible Future,” which invited students to develop the new logo for the Group’s ESG activities. This initiative combines creativity, awareness, and practical application, encouraging students to translate the values of our Group into a visual symbol capable of representing our commitment to a responsible future.

A Challenge to Turn Responsible Ideas into Real Projects

The competition invited students to design a logo or audiovisual content that could originally convey the value of sustainability. This hands-on exercise was designed to connect theory with practice, and submissions were evaluated based on creativity, alignment with the Group’s values, and technical feasibility.

Enthusiasm Exceeding Expectations

Participation was broad and of high quality, with projects full of vision and sensitivity. The jury – comprising representatives from ŽP and Pipex Italia – awarded:

• Gabriel Vagaday – Creativity and originality
• Nela Kúdelková – Functionality and applicability
• Michal Mydlo – Functionality and applicability
• Terézia Ďuriančíková – Alignment with ESG values
• Sára Báboľová – Alignment with ESG values
• Terézia Danove – Alignment with ESG values

The most complete works were those of Terézia Ďuriančíková, Sára Báboľová, and Terézia Danove, who were awarded the final prize.

A Journey to Italy to Experience ESG Up Close

The three winners have already enjoyed a four-day trip to Italy, exploring Arona and the surrounding area. This experience combined culture, exchange, and the opportunity to see practical examples of ESG principles in action. Hosting them was a valuable moment of sharing for us.

Building Sustainability, Together

The project fits within Železiarne Podbrezová’s ongoing commitment to “green” steel and the circular economy, as well as the mission of the ŽP school to educate for responsible thinking.

For Pipex Italia, “Strong Tradition, Responsible Future” provided a concrete opportunity to contribute to the growth of a new generation that is attentive, competent, and future-oriented.
